We reach Möre and Romsdal fylke!!!

Day 28
We started pretty late today and soon we passed the border to Möre og Romsdal fylke. Landscape is
changing, deeper valleys, higher mountains and oh so beautiful. This day was wonderful and the weather was perfect until the evening. When the tunnel came we took an old road which was actually closed after a while so no cars could come through. It was like a ghost road almost grown together by the trees, with big blocks of stone fallen down some places but it was pretty cool. Then we had a hard time finding a tentspot, almost 17 km after Sunndalsöra the sky got really dark behind us and we found the spot just as the rain came pouring but luckily we managed to get our tents up really fast and dry inside! Then it just kept raining really heavy. Distance today 73 km. I hope we can make it all the way to Åndalsnes tomorrow...

Heading for Oppdal

Day 27
It was a sunny morning, we had breakfast and broke the camp. Then we left Orkla River and headed for Berkåk. On the way we met Ralf from Germany so I asked how come he ended up here and he told me he met a norwegian girl and they got a child 4 years ago. He sat in the car by the way and was really cute. Then we came to Joker in wall and there we had freshly brewed coffee for free and charged a little before we continued. We missed the turn-off before Berkåk so we came there instead and it was a handicraft fair which means it was crowded with people. We bought roasted almonds and left after a short break. Today it was a lot of countryside, farming and old houses with grass on the roof. We finally made it to Oppdal, provianterade and then looked for a place to camp but it was really hard because it started raining and there were houses everywhere, then it got dark and foggy and we came to a camping so we decided to take a cabin since we were pretty tired. We made dinner and I realised that I've forgot my frying pan at the river this morning...
Distance today was 92 km.

Orkla River

Day 26
Today I woke up just before 6 and had breakfast. Then I read some in my book and relaxed while waiting for TLC to wake up. Later it started raining heavily so there was no use to hurry. After a while I fell a sleep and woke up again at 9 am. By 10 we were all packed and on our way when we spotted a grocery shop so we bought 2 large coffees and some bread. It started to rain heavily so it was a perfect time to have coffee. We had some really nice cycling today with fields and old fashioned houses, you could sense the tide of history. Partly we had a rough time on the gravel road going up and down. But the weather was fine all day. We came to Meldal resupplied and filled water by the hairdresser. Then we went further on the road to find a camp spot and we did at Orkla River, a really nice one today. We made dinner and had a beer, then after washing up it was time for some book reading. I have been feeling a change of season during the last few days, you can feel how it changes from summer to autumn. Nights are getting colder, leaves are changing colors and flowers turn to seeds and are blewn away by the wind. Distance today 62 km

Day 25 on the road - a very special day

Day 25
We went to Vanviken where we took a boat over the fjord to Trondheim. I bought a new cover for my sleepingbag (a waterproof one) since my old one was going to pieces. And I found a fairtrade shop where they had my favourite chocolate Divine, also their new flavour! So I bought some bars of chocolate of course. Then we went to the library, had some coffee, charging and a little wifi. Then we went to have some indian food and a cold beer to celebrate. Because today is exactly one year since I came to Lofoten and that calls for a celebration, even though I am in Trondheim right now. After this it took some time to find the way out of town. It took us some time to find a descent camp spot and I think this was one of the worst so far on this trip. Distance today 77 km.
